The second open competition of start-up projects for the development of enterprises in the remote areas of the Fergana Valley

Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan PQ-4399 dated July 19, 2019 “On measures to implement the project “Development of rural entrepreneurship in the Fergana Valley” with the participation of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Agency for Innovative Development and the Bilateral Agreement on the Promotion of the Agro-Industrial Complex and Food, signed between the Agency for the Implementation of Supply Projects on July 30, 2020 and the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers dated March 9, 2020 “Measures to further improve regulatory legal framework for the Development of scientific research and innovative activities of “ON” will be carried out in accordance with the requirements specified in the regulation “On the procedure for approval, financing and implementation of start-up projects”, approved by decision No. 133.

This competition supports organizations in developing new entrepreneurial skills, covering everything from business development to pitching (visual presentation to attract investors) and learning best practices applied in an international environment. Includes two open competitions, and the acceleration program supports a total of 100 business ideas. Each open competition is held for applicants for about 1 month, and the program lasts a maximum of 4 months. Those who are ready to sign an agreement with them can take advantage of the additional support provided by the agency.

Conditions for accepting startup projects:

Applications will be accepted from October 24, 2023 to November 24, 2023;

2 The main content of startup projects submitted to the competition should be aimed at developing enterprises in remote areas of the Fergana Valley;

3 When forming start-up projects, the funds requested from the agency within the framework of each project should not exceed $20,000 (except for Demand Funds);v

4 Organizations and projects no older than 3 years. Ideas based on the introduction of technical innovations, improvements and changes to existing business models, products or services.

5 Participation of 1 participant with 1 project;

6 The maximum period for creating layouts and (or) prototypes, software products, services based on startup projects should not exceed 1 year.


Conditions of the startup project competition:


The competition accepts applications aimed at creating and implementing large-scale business projects focused on production and service. They must be based on innovation and technology.
