An "atmospheric lake" has been discovered over the Indian Ocean

It was reported that this phenomenon, called an "atmospheric lake" by scientists, was observed in the Indian Ocean for the 17th time in the last 5 years. The formation of "atmospheric lake" takes place in the form of the flow of water vapor in places where the velocity of air currents is approximately equal to zero.

It is noted that the diameter of the "atmospheric lake" can reach a thousand kilometers and a depth of several centimeters. They can retain moisture for up to a week. This causes changes in temperature and pressure. Recently, climate scientists from the University of Miami discovered an "atmospheric lake". A study conducted from 2014 to 2018 led to the observation of the phenomenon of isolated water accumulation in the form of vapor.
