Take an active part in the election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan!

Article 32 of our Constitution establishes the constitutional right of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan to participate in the management of society and state affairs directly and through their representatives. This right belongs to every citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan, regardless of where they live. A citizen of Uzbekistan who is not younger than 35 years old, who knows the state language well, who has lived in the territory of Uzbekistan for at least 10 years before the direct election, has general, equal and direct suffrage for the position of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. may be elected for a period of 5 years by secret ballot. Citizens of Uzbekistan who have reached 18 (eighteen) years of age before the election day (also on this day) have the right to vote. Citizens who have been declared incompetent by the court, as well as persons detained in places of deprivation of liberty by a court verdict, cannot be elected.

Persons who have been declared incompetent by the court, as well as those who have been detained in places of deprivation of liberty by the court's verdict for committing serious and extremely serious crimes, shall not participate in the election. In any other cases, it is not allowed to directly or indirectly restrict the voting rights of citizens. It should be noted that special attention is being paid to reforming and further democratizing the electoral system of our country, strengthening its legal foundations, and aligning our national legislation with international standards on the right to vote, in particular: firstly, voters should choose one or more political parties or the Presidency of the Republic of Uzbekistan. it was established that he has the right to sign in support of the candidates; secondly, political parties were given the right to nominate members of their own party or non-party candidates when nominating candidates for the Presidency and the Legislative Chamber of Deputies; thirdly, norms limiting the participation in elections of persons serving sentences in places of deprivation of liberty for crimes that do not pose a great public danger and are not very serious have been removed; fourthly, a procedure was established to immediately hang a copy of the minutes of the precinct election commission on the counting of votes in the building of the precinct election commission for at least 48 hours for everyone to familiarize themselves with; First of all, the election period has been changed, according to which, the presidential election, the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and the Dzhokorg Council of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the representative bodies of state power of regions, districts, cities, respectively, their constitutional term of office in the year ending - it was decided to be held on the first Sunday of the third ten days of October (previously it was held in December).

Important stages of the election company's activity: at least 80 (eighty) days before the election - regional, district, city election commissions are appointed by the respective local councils of eleven - twenty one (previously there were seven - fifteen) commissions. shall be formed in the composition of zo and shall exercise its powers until the announcement of the start of the next election campaign;

at least 75 (seventy-five) days before the election - the lists of electoral districts, their borders, the number of voters and the location of district election commissions are announced;

at least 70 (seventy) days before the election - the Central Election Commission of the district election commission for the election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan appoints the chairman, deputy chairman, secretary and eight to eighteen members of the commission (previously six (which is eight people) will be made up of other members;

65 (sixty-five) days before the election - the nomination of candidates for the Presidency of the Republic of Uzbekistan begins and ends 45 (forty-five) days before the election;

at least 60 (sixty) days before the election - polling stations are established, as a rule, with the number of voters not less than twenty and not more than three thousand.

Polling stations in military units, in the presence of diplomatic and other representative offices of Uzbekistan in foreign countries, as well as in places where citizens live in remote and hard-to-reach areas, places of detention and deprivation of liberty, within this period, and in some cases, at least 7 (seven) days before the election. the rest is made up; at least 40 (forty) days before the election - the precinct election commission is formed by the district election commission, consisting of five to nineteen members, including the chairman, deputy chairman and secretary; 35 (thirty-five) days before the election - registration of candidates will be completed. Candidates for the Presidency of the Republic of Uzbekistan are registered by the Central Election Commission; 15 (fifteen) days before the election - lists of voters are available at the diplomatic and other representative offices of the Republic of Uzbekistan in foreign countries, in sanatoriums and rest houses, hospitals and other inpatient treatment facilities, citizens of remote and hard-to-reach areas and in the precincts created in places of detention and deprivation of liberty, it will be presented for everyone to familiarize themselves with 3 (three) days before the election; 10 (ten) days before the election - early voting starts and ends 3 (three) days before the election; 5 (five) days before the election - making changes to the lists of voters will be stopped; on election day and 1 (one) day before voting - campaigning is not allowed.

Election campaigning is an activity carried out during an election campaign aimed at encouraging voters to vote for a candidate or political party. The procedure for consideration of appeals of individuals and legal entities by election commissions: During the election campaign, election commissions consider appeals received by individuals and legal entities regarding violations of the requirements of the Election Code or other issues of election organization within their powers. must come out, conduct investigations on these appeals and give written answers to them within three days, and immediately review and respond to appeals received at least six days before the election or on the day of voting (this includes the actions and decisions of election commissions except for complaints filed against). Complaints against actions and decisions of election commissions are considered only by courts. So, the presidential election of the Republic of Uzbekistan will be held on October 24, 2021.
