The scope of fundamental research will be expanded with Russian scientists

On October 13 of this year, the delegation of the Ministry of Innovative Development met with the chairman of the board of the Russian Foundation for Fundamental Research, vice-president of the National Research Center "Kurchatov Institute", Academician Vladislav Panchenko and the management of the foundation.

During the meeting, the issues of expanding the scope of fundamental research in cooperation within the framework of the competition of international joint scientific projects "Uzbekistan-Russia" were discussed. It was noted that the new mechanism introduced by the Ministry of Innovative Development - the need to expand the scope of joint fundamental research under the co-leadership of Russian scientists with a Hirsch index of 5 and higher in the Scopus international database. This, in turn, serves the development of new prestigious scientific schools and new scientific directions in our republic.

Academician Vladislav Panchenko, vice-president of the National Research Center "Kurchatov Institute", to carry out scientific research in the field of genetics, genomics, microbiology and nuclear medicine, to introduce advanced experience and new technologies related to these fields to the development of winemaking in our republic, to the development of laser technologies and nuclear medicine. the practical mechanisms of reaching it were discussed and it was agreed to work in cooperation.

In addition, it was decided to organize an internship for the responsible employees of the Ministry of Innovative Development and the Scientific and Technical Information Center on the mastering of best practices in the organization of expertise of scientific projects on the basis of the Russian Fund for Fundamental Research.
