A roundtable discussion was held with the participation of the representative of "Springer Nature" company in Central Asia

Currently, the field of science is developing rapidly in Uzbekistan, which is based on the publishing activity of scientists-researchers in the priority areas of science.

Also, the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan is implementing a number of measures to ensure that higher education institutions and scientific research institutions of our country subscribe to leading international databases of scientific publications. One of them is the SpringerLink database published by Springer Nature.

In this regard, on December 1 of this year, the Ministry held a roundtable discussion on the topic "Report on the use of Springer Nature resources of scientific institutions of Uzbekistan in 2020 and 2021" by Irina Aleksandrova, representative of information resources of Springer Nature company.

Irina Alekseyevna, regional representative of Springer Nature in Central Asia, revealed the potential of the SpringerLink scientific database during her speech, and also drew attention to information on its use by researchers of universities and research institutes who have access to the platform. At the same time, from 2015 to November 2021, scientific articles published by Uzbek scientists were mentioned in the journals of the Springer Nature company on the link.springer.com platform.


Also Ulugbek Mirzalimov, independent research director of "I-EDU Group". He introduced the work carried out in cooperation with the Scientific and Technical Information Center on improving the national research base.

Employees of the higher education and scientific research institution took part in this seminar. During the seminar, the participants asked questions about the topic and received the necessary answers.

For information: 105 higher education and scientific research institutions in our republic have access to electronic resources of "Springer Nature" company (more than 2,000 scientific journals, more than 4,000,000 articles and more than 58,000 reports of laboratory research). From January to December 2021, higher education and scientific research institutions have the opportunity to fully use the information of the springer.com database.
