On December 11, the Institute of Seismology of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan held an event aimed at explaining the essence and importance of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On ensuring seismic safety of the population and territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan" among relevant organizations and residents. It was attended by leading scientists of FA Institute of Seismology and Seismic Strength of Mechanics and Structures, experts in the field, representatives of Tashkent City Hokimity, Ministry of Neighborhood and Family Support, Emergency Situations Department of Tashkent City, Department of Public Education of Tashkent Region, Health Department of Tashkent City.
The event was opened by the vice-president of FA, professor S. Mirzayev. After that, the lectures of the deputy director of the Institute of Seismology, professor V. Ismailov and the head of the FVV department K. Kochkarov were heard, discussed and questions were answered.
