"Startup Initiatives" is a comprehensive program aimed at supporting the development of innovative ideas and startup projects of young people, in particular, students of higher education institutions and graduates of vocational colleges and lyceums. This program is implemented within the framework of the joint project of the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations and the United Nations Development Program "Helping to ensure youth employment in Uzbekistan".
Applications for participation in the 5th round of the support program were accepted online, and the number of applications received was much higher than in previous rounds. 905 applications for participation in the program were received from all regions of the republic, which is 38% more than in the previous period. The total number of young people participating in projects, including team members, is 1972, of which 559 are girls.
Based on the study of the received applications, a team of experts selected 601 projects, and online interviews were conducted with these projects using the Zoom program.
According to the results of the interview, 247 teams from the city of Tashkent and the regions had the opportunity to participate in the educational program, in which the participants learned the basics of launching startups, regularly worked with trackers (individual business mentors), qualified experts and successful entrepreneurs. participated in workshops and consultations and managed to improve their projects through the Accelerator.uz platform.
92 teams successfully passed the final stage of the acceleration program and had the opportunity to present their projects to experts online.
