The scientists of the Institute of Seismic Stability of Mechanics and Structures of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan launched the "Electronic Technical Passport" information system of buildings and structures located in seismically active areas.
The launch of the "Electronic Technical Passport" information system serves to determine the pre-disaster and emergency conditions of buildings and structures located in seismically active areas in order to extend the period of their normal operation, as well as to assess their technical condition in terms of earthquake resistance in order to stop the use of buildings at risk of damage.
Such a system was launched for the first time in Uzbekistan. Through the "Electronic Technical Passport" information system, incidents that may occur with the assessment of the technical condition of existing buildings and structures in the territory of our republic are prevented, economic losses are reduced, including saving people's lives. The establishment of such a system is one of the priority tasks for regions with a risk of earthquakes.
