Scientists: Yekaterina Lyan, Rustam Nizomov, Shermuhammad Aminov and Jamil Torayev, this variety was created as a result of ten years of work. The new tomato type was named "Universal".
The new variety is mid-season, with a growing period of 120-122 days. The length of the main stem reaches 2-2.5 meters in the greenhouse, 1.5-1.8 meters in the open field. Branching and foliage are average. The leaf is simple, dark green, moderately folded.
The content of dry matter is 4.8%, total sugar is 4.2%, ascorbic acid is 24.2%. Productivity: 15-18 kilograms in the greenhouse, 38-42 in the open field. This indicator is 15-20% higher than other varieties.
Variety documents have been issued for widespread introduction of the "Universal" tomato variety in the republic, and for the organization of primary seed production in an established order. It was submitted to the Center for Testing Agricultural Crops for inclusion in the State Register and to the Intellectual Property Agency for patenting.
