Counselor of the Embassy of Switzerland in Uzbekistan Alexander Sharer:

-Innovations, such as the Internet, reduce geographical distances. They can bring people from different parts of the world closer and strengthen relations between countries. Innovation is important for Switzerland today. As a country with almost no natural resources, we are completely dependent on human capital. In the Global Innovation Index, Switzerland is listed as the most innovative country in the world. This achievement has a number of main factors: investment in science and research, development of start-ups, protection of intellectual property, business policy. In our country, innovations are widely used in the fields of mechanical engineering, healthcare, robotics, transport and energy.I am glad that Uzbekistan was able to introduce innovative approaches in cooperation with Switzerland. This applies to the water conservation sector, the development of digital skills and other areas. In addition, in the following years, interest in the projects of Swiss companies increased, and their representatives were also invited to the innovation exhibition in Tashkent. Today, technological changes can have a significant impact on our lives. It is important for countries to cooperate in this direction.
