A training seminar titled "Fundamentals of Scientometrics and International Information Databases" was held on the 11th and 12th of May this year. The seminar was organized for the employees and students of the Department of Development at the Scientific and Technical Information Center "Ilm-Metriya," under the guidance of the Head of the Department, D. Abdumuminova, and the Head of the Department of Analysis of Priority Directions, X. Yakubov. The event was attended by employees and students from the Institute of Plant Substances Chemistry named after Academician S.Y. Yunusov of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as employees and students from the Institute of Ion-Plasma and Laser Technologies named after U. Arifov.
During the seminar, the works carried out by the Center in the field of scientific activities in the country were discussed, along with the importance of international databases and scientific journals. The possibilities of information databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, as well as the SpringerLink platform and proofreading services, were examined. The scientific publishing activities of research institutes in the Web of Science Core Collection database were analyzed during the seminar. At the end of the event, the participants had the opportunity to ask any questions they had.
