A roundtable discussion was held as part of the project "Development of a guide on intellectual property management for the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan," implemented within the framework of the "MUNIS" project of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation and the World Bank.
The roundtable was attended by system organizations, relevant departments and agencies, heads of intellectual property centers, directors of scientific and innovation activities of ITMs and OTMs, and patent experts.
An international expert on intellectual property issues, consultant of the World Bank, Ekaterina Runova, delivered a presentation on this topic.The main goal of the project is to develop approaches aimed at increasing the patent activity of researchers, higher education institutions, and research institutions in Uzbekistan, as well as developing comprehensive measures to improve the quality of scientific results.

Within the project, skills are acquired in providing analytical tools with the ability to measure the effectiveness of implementing strategic plans for intellectual property development and studying current practices in scientific research aimed at obtaining high-quality results, including local and international patents.
