On January 16, the opening ceremony of the biotechnology laboratory was held in the Botanical Garden under the Institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and innovation, officials of the Academy of Sciences, officials of the Botanical Institute, academics and the scientific community.
The Academy of Laboratory Sciences was founded on the basis of the Botanical Institute, which is intended to develop a protocol for microclonal reproduction of promising species in vitro conditions to complement the Botanical Garden collection.
