At the beginning of the conversation, the ambassador congratulated Uzbekistan and China on the successful holding of meetings of sub-committees on science, technology and innovation and highly appreciated the work being carried out between the two sides.
The parties also discussed the issue of launching the production of a vaccine against coronavirus in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan. I. Abdurahmanov informed that negotiations are underway with the Chinese company "Anhui Zhifei Longcom" in this direction, and representatives of this company are expected to visit Uzbekistan to familiarize themselves with the production infrastructure. Instead, they exchanged views on accelerating the implementation of this project from the Chinese Embassy.
At the same time, the Minister of Innovative Development asked the ambassador to provide practical assistance in accelerating the project of creating an Uzbekistan-China medical technology park for the synthesis of medicinal substances in the Navoi region. The project is worth 10 mln. It envisages the introduction of investment from China in the amount of US dollars, and currently there are delays in the introduction of these financial funds and the start of construction works.
The ambassador said that she will study the proposals made by the minister and expressed confidence that the parties will soon achieve positive results in these directions.
