Commonwealth is 30 years old!

      The international scientific and practical conference on "30th anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States: results, prospects" has come to an end in Minsk. More than 300 state bodies from 11 countries, representatives of CIS bodies, diplomats, leading scientists and specialists, heads of large scientific and educational organizations took part in it. The delegation of Uzbekistan was led by academician Bakhtiyor Ibragimov, vice-president of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The conference was organized by the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in the building of the National Academy Board. Simultaneously with this international conference, the 34th meeting of the Council of the International Association of Academies of Sciences was held. Abdurazak Mirzayev, chairman of the Navoi branch of FA, took an active part in both events.

     In particular, the following issues were raised and discussed at the general and sectional meetings. Economic cooperation, the state of science, prospects for innovative and humanitarian cooperation, as well as topics related to the improvement of the legal framework of the CIS member states, current problems of epidemiology, their basic and clinical aspects, mutual cooperation in the field of security, crime and terrorism combat, scientific and technical cooperation in the field of space use, etc.

     A. Mirzayev presented a lecture on the topic of "Integration of science, education and production in New Uzbekistan as an example of the activities of the Navoi department of FA." In particular, he spoke about completed, ongoing and promising projects in the Navoi department.

     In addition, on the basis of the memorandum of cooperation between the Department and the Polytechnic BMTU Scientific and Technological Park of Belarus, he visited the technological park with an invitation and got acquainted with the developments of his Belarusian colleagues. In particular, gas-flame spraying and plasma melting methods, technologies of applying polymer coatings to restore and solidify details; innovative technology and equipment for air adsorption biological purification from harmful organic substances for chemical, metal casting, painting and other industries; a dispatching system was provided to save energy resources and monitor the necessary indicators.

     Developments in the field of medicine of the Polytechnic BMTU ITP of Belarus aroused great interest among Uzbek scientists. That is, medical devices produced by the technopark and sold in the market for cardiovascular surgery, traumatology and orthopedics.

     The leadership of the Technopark expressed its desire to create an Uzbek-Belarusian joint venture for the production of finished products of the innovative developments of its scientists in the territory of Uzbekistan with the participation of the Navoi Department of the Academy of Sciences. Negotiations are planned to be held in this regard in the future.
