Australian scientists have developed a new method of vaccination against Covid-19

Australian experts from the University of Queensland have developed a method of delivering COVID-19 vaccines using a special patch. Now, a special patch with a high-density microchip is used for the vaccine against COVID-19. Once applied to the skin, the patch vaccine creates thousands of microscopic projections.

Dr David Muller of the Queensland School of Chemistry and Molecular Biology said the first tests of the patch were conducted in mice with one of the US-made COVID-19 vaccines. According to the results of the study, the vaccine produced a more effective immune response than the intramuscular injection.

According to David Müller, this way the vaccine will effectively fight against new strains of the coronavirus. When the Hexapro vaccine is given through an applicator rather than a nose, it causes a faster immune response. It also neutralizes several variants, including the Alpha and Beta variants. It is more convenient than mumps vaccines, simply put an applicator on the skin and 5 thousand microscopic projections inject the vaccine almost imperceptibly into the skin.
