"Russia-Uzbekistan educational forum" was held in Moscow. The forum was attended by about 100 representatives of the ministries and departments responsible for education and science, rectors of higher education institutions from Uzbekistan and Russia, and Deputy Minister of Innovative Development Shahlo Turdiqulova.

He said that the Ministry of Innovative Development has introduced the mechanism of state orders for scientific research works, and that the practice of regularly announcing contests on current thematic topics is being implemented. He noted that the grant system has a positive effect on the competitiveness, quality and scope of the financed projects.
It is worth noting that within the framework of the 2019-2020 Uzbekistan-Russia scientific and technical cooperation program, 17 projects with a total value of 3.5 bln. soums joint scientific and technical projects were implemented and a number of important scientific results were obtained. In addition, co-leaders of 13 fundamental projects financed by the Ministry are Russian scientists.

Turdikulova noted the need to expand cooperation in the field of science and innovative activities, to use existing opportunities more effectively, to expand the number and scope of joint projects, to organize internships for young scientists, to establish direct relations with research and higher education institutions. put forward the issues of holding scientific events, jointly training highly qualified scientific and engineering-technical specialists.
