The final stage of the 5th period of the "Startup Initiatives" program for supporting innovative ideas and startup projects of young people was held.

On December 21 of this year, at the Ministry of Innovative Development, the presentation of the winning projects and the awarding of the teams of the final stage of the 5th period of the "Startup Initiatives" program for supporting innovative ideas and startup projects of young people within the framework of the "Uzbekistan Youth Forum - 2021" week ceremony was held.

An exhibition of 40 promising start-up projects and a presentation of 5 highest-scoring projects were held there.

The Minister of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ibrahim Abdurahmanov, the Director of the Youth Affairs Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan Alisher Sadullayev and leaders and representatives of a number of official organizations took part in the event. Ibrahim Abdurahmanov participated in the event with his speech and opened the event.

Applications for participation in the 5th cycle of the program were accepted online, and the number of applications received was much higher than in previous cycles. 905 applications for participation in the program were received from all regions of the republic. This is 38% more than the previous period. The total number of young people participating in the project is 1972, including team members.

At the final "Demo Day" event, 40 most promising start-up projects (from 2 to 5 from each region) across the republic were selected to win.

It should be noted that "Startup Initiatives" is a comprehensive program aimed at supporting the development of innovative ideas and startup projects of young people, in particular, students of higher education institutions and graduates of vocational colleges and lyceums.
