Uzbekistan and India: cooperation in the field of modern technology

At the online meeting, Mansur Omonov, Head of the Technology Transfer Assistance Department of the National Office, Shahrukh Nazarov, Head of the International Scientific Cooperation Department, Imomjon Salimov, Trade and Investment Advisor of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in India, Indian Project Managers Kartik Tallam, Gaurav Tejas and Indian Health Dr. Uma Nabialar, former advisor to the Minister of Conservation, and other officials were present.

In particular, discussions were held between Uzbekistan and India on issues such as innovation, transfer of new technologies, commercialization of technologies. At first, the head of the Technology Transfer Assistance Department, M. Omonov, introduced the partners to the activities of the Ministry and the National Office. Indian representatives presented their new project, an online telemedicine platform. The Indian representatives offered to establish cooperation in the field of telemedicine on a ready-made project with an investment of 400,000 US dollars. They also expressed great interest in the future support of startups, webinars on new technologies, exchange of mutual experience of experts, and expansion of relations in the field of programs.

It was mentioned that this project will give the citizens of Uzbekistan the opportunity to get the necessary advice from the most powerful local and foreign specialists without leaving the territory of Uzbekistan, and it will save the patients' time and money. Currently, this platform is widely used in India mainly by the private sector. In addition, it was noted that this platform has been introduced and cooperation has been established in countries such as Spain, Mexico, Singapore and Nepal.

At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to organize a meeting with relevant specialists and experts on the development of transfer of new technologies between Uzbekistan and India and this telemedicine project. The representatives of India announced that they intend to visit Uzbekistan to develop international cooperation in these areas.
