In accordance with Resolution No. 313 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 22, 2020, the Ministry of Innovative Development has begun implementing Youth Technoparks in the regional centers of our Republic.
On June 27, 2023, the official opening ceremony of the Youth Technopark was held in the presence of the Minister of Innovative Development, Academician I. Abdurakhmonov, the Hokim of Navoi Region N. Tursunov, and the General Director of Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine K. Sanakulov.
Tasks of the organization:
Increasing the intellectual, scientific, and creative potential of youth in cooperation with local executive authorities, educational institutions, and scientific organizations; fostering analytical thinking among the youth of the region, encouraging their wide involvement in research and innovation activities, creating necessary conditions for talented and proactive youth to realize their intellectual potential and achieve social adaptation;
Enhancing the region’s innovative potential by creating a single platform for the development and implementation of youth startup projects;
Selecting projects on relevant areas proposed by talented youth and submitting them to competitions announced by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan under grant programs;
Involving researchers, teachers, and students of higher educational institutions in the implementation of scientific, technical, innovative, and startup projects.
Functions of the organization:
Training qualified personnel who meet modern requirements, engage in innovative activities, and deepening the integration of science, education, and production to ensure the region with high-quality, high-tech products and services;
Facilitating project transfer to prestigious scientific centers, universities, technoparks, and production organizations in developed foreign countries through the Samarkand Youth Technopark;
Conducting trainings and master classes with the participation of representatives of leading entrepreneurial entities engaged in innovative activities, as well as qualified specialists and experts in our region; organizing scientific and technical conferences, seminars, courses, and trainings aimed at developing practical skills among youth and establishing innovation-based corporate relations with manufacturers;
Training local youth in modern professions that are highly relevant and in great demand in today’s local labor market.
Activities carried out by the organization:
In order to prepare talented personnel, involve them widely in innovation activities, and create the necessary conditions for proactive youth to realize their intellectual potential and social adaptation, the project “Master Modern Professions for Free” is being implemented. Fifty-eight young people were admitted to the 5th season of this project and involved in free training courses organized in three different areas.
Free seminar-trainings on the topic “Professions of the Future” were held for students of vocational and general education schools in the region to engage youth in analytical thinking, research, and innovative activities. A total of 300 young people participated in the seminars and trainings. To prepare qualified personnel that meet modern requirements, cooperation was established between the Samarkand Youth Technopark and the training center Cipheredu.
In the prototyping laboratory FabLab, established at the production site of the Navoi Youth Technopark, startup project owners can create prototypes of their innovative ideas. In accordance with the approved regulation on the creation of the business incubator program InnoX in the Navoi Youth Technopark, the business incubator program InnoX was launched, within which 15 startup projects were formed.
