During the meetings, strengthening of cooperation in the field of higher education, especially medical education, participation of professors and teachers of Korean higher education institutions as foreign teachers of TTA, review of published scientific journals, involvement of South Korean experts to advise on JCI accreditation by the Academy, parties Uzbekistan and South Korea agreed to implement joint scientific projects on the comparative study of the effectiveness of different types of vaccines against the coronavirus, the experimental study of the effect of certain pharmacological drugs on animals, as well as other relevant biomedical research.
As a result of the meeting and negotiations, relevant memorandums of understanding and cooperation were signed.
For information, more than 200 cooperation agreements and memoranda have been signed between the higher education institutions of the two countries in different years. Currently, 40 higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan have established relations with more than 45 higher educational institutions, scientific and educational organizations of the Republic of Korea on the basis of relevant agreements and cooperation memoranda. There are 5 branches of South Korean higher education institutions in Uzbekistan. These are Inha University in Tashkent, Yoju Institute of Technology in Tashkent, Pyuchon University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan-Korea International University in Fergana, and the branch of Adju University in Tashkent, which was launched in February 2021.
