September 26-30, 2022 "Sericulture and Textile Week: Exhibition of Scientific Developments and Innovative Products" began its activities at the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The event was attended by such large organizations operating in the field of silk and textiles in Uzbekistan, such as the Committee for the Development of the Silk and Wool Industry, the Scientific Research Institute of Sericulture, the Committee for the Development of Sericulture and Karakul Breeding, Uzbekipaksanoat, industry research organizations of the system of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, as well as scientists from research institutions and research institutes of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan with their innovative ideas and developments, innovative products.
On the first day of the event, Turdikulova Shahlo Utkurovna, Deputy Minister of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, noted that increasing the efficiency of sericulture and the economic development of the silk industry in our Republic is one of the urgent tasks of today. For the development of sericulture in our country, an innovative approach is constantly being introduced in this area and measures are being developed for its consistent implementation and the direction of technical and technological modernization based on innovations, as well as the effective management of the activities of enterprises in the cocoon industry. Currently, cocoon products in more than 60 countries make up 0.2% of world textiles, but only 20 countries grow cocoons. In terms of cocoon production, China ranks first in the world, India is second, Uzbekistan is third, and Korea is fourth.
At the exhibition organized as part of the event, demonstrations of scientific developments of sericulture and woolen products enterprises took place: napkins packed from silk gauze and bandage, treated with silver nanoparticles, packaged by the production association "Uztukimachilik", raw silk from hybrid cocoons of local breed, suitable for the class " 3A", products of the technology of pre-treatment of raw materials of a new breeding cotton variety from the Research Institute of Animal Husbandry and Desert Ecology, products from silk suit fabrics intended for the spring-autumn season, fibers from the weaving of seasonal fabrics that can be used for various wallpapers from Nauchno - Research Institute of Livestock and Desert Ecology, scientific developments intended for use in the field of silk and textiles, developed by scientists from the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry and research institutes.
At the same time, at the exhibition, scientists got acquainted with new scientific developments, and industry experts negotiated preliminary contracts and contractual documents with research institutes, and together with scientists discussed the creation of innovative technologies, export-substituting products using local raw materials, i.e. technologies and equipment used in the field of silk production.
The Ministry of Innovative Development is carrying out a number of works in accordance with the tasks set by our Government to create conditions for the introduction of new technologies in the field of silk and textiles. In particular, innovative and fundamental projects are being implemented to develop the silk and textile industries within the framework of state scientific programs for 2021-2026.
During the week, an exhibition of finished products of silk industry enterprises was organized. Semi-finished and finished silk products were presented at the exhibition. The presentation of ready-made clothes for women and girls was held by the “Nelif” atelier. Also, Nazima ateleer presented an exhibition of computer embroidery.
During the event, active participants were awarded certificates and letters of thanks from organizations.
