On May 10th of this year, the director of the Agency for Innovation Development, O. Toychiev, received a delegation headed by the General Manager of the regional center of the Chinese company "SuperMap International," Evelyn San. During the meeting, negotiations took place regarding collaboration in the field of scientific research and service provision, including the expansion of services in the region using geoinformation systems. In particular, an agreement was reached on cooperation in the areas of remote sensing of land, satellite communication, and the use of navigation systems to enhance the efficiency of sectors such as agriculture, water management, ecology, telecommunications, geology, cartography, hydrometeorology, seismology, and urban planning. In accordance with this agreement, collaboration in financing and implementing joint scientific projects with the partner organization, as well as startup projects aimed at realizing the ideas of young entrepreneurs or researchers, was established.
The prospects of collaboration to transform the Syrdarya region into a "hub of advanced innovation" in the fields of industry, entrepreneurship, agriculture, education, and healthcare were also discussed during the meeting, supported by the head of our state.
In conclusion, the parties agreed to organize joint seminars and training sessions with the Chinese company "SuperMap Software" in May of the current year, as well as to arrange week-long courses involving representatives of the company.
