Today, on October 20, within the framework of the international innovative ideas week "InnoWeek.Uz-2023", a seminar-training on the topic "Science-on the scale of the Republic of Uzbekistan" will be held in cooperation with the Academy of Banking and Finance and the Scientific and Technical Information Center under the Agency for Innovative Development. was carried out.
University professors and researchers took part in the event. During the seminar, extensive and new information on how to use international and SLIB.UZ - national scientific electronic databases such as Web of Science, Springer, Scopus was presented. Diana Abdumuminova, the head of the Department of Scientific Development and Forecasting of Scientific Development, gave a speech on the topic and revealed the meaning of the index of citations, the index of citations of a scientific journal, the impact factor, the Hirsch index and indicators of the separation of journals into quartiles.
Also, during the seminar-training, the participants gained skills in editing the text of scientific articles prepared by the authors, improving the written text in English, eliminating spelling and grammatical errors, and using databases that help to adapt to the specified technical requirements.
At the end of the seminar, the participants received detailed information on the questions they were interested in.
