According to the results of the "QS World University Rankings 2026," published on June 19, 7 higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan were included in the list of the best universities in the world.
This indicator increased by 5 universities compared to last year, and Uzbekistan entered the ranks of 9 countries in the world in terms of the number of universities participating in this ranking for the first time.
Higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan included in the rating:
National Research University "TIIAME" - 469th place (in 2025 =547)
National University of Uzbekistan - 721-730 (781-790 in 2025)
Tashkent State Technical University - 901-950 (for the first time)
Samarkand State University - 1001-1200 (for the first time)
Tashkent State University of Economics - 1001-1200 (for the first time)
Tashkent State Transport University - 1201-1400 (for the first time)
Tashkent University of Information Technologies - 1401+ (for the first time)
It should be noted that 4 universities of Uzbekistan are among the top 700 in the "Graduation Achievements" indicator:
Tashkent State Technical University - 540th place
National University of Uzbekistan - 545th place
National Research University "TIIAME" - 644th place
Tashkent State Economic University - 660th place
