The Agency for Innovative Development, together with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Policy (STEPI), is implementing the grant project "National Strategy of Uzbekistan on Technoparks" within the framework of the K-Innovation Cooperation Program.

This project is designed for 2025-2027, within the framework of which it is planned to develop a national strategy based on the Korean experience in order to develop the activities of technology parks in Uzbekistan. It is also planned to implement the Korean model and experience in the development of science and technology policy in local technology parks.

Currently, within the framework of the project, a delegation of representatives of the Agency for Innovative Development is on a working trip to the Republic of Korea to improve the skills of Uzbek specialists and study the Korean experience in technology parks.

The first day of the program was dedicated to strengthening innovative cooperation between Uzbekistan and Korea and sharing valuable international experience in the development of technology parks and the startup ecosystem in Uzbekistan. Members of the delegation listened to a number of specialized reports on Korea's advanced science and technology policy, the history and development of technology parks, as well as the role of the Korean Association of Technoparks in the innovation ecosystem.

Among the speakers were world-renowned Korean experts in this field - Dr. Sung Chul Chung, Dr. Deok Soon Yim, and Dr. Hyun Young Young.

At the end of the lectures, a question-and-answer session and lively discussions were held on such topics as the possibilities and difficulties of applying the Korean model in the economy and geographical conditions of Uzbekistan, effective mechanisms for creating and financing technoparks, as well as the role of public-private partnerships in the development of innovative infrastructure.

In the coming days, the delegation plans to visit leading Korean technology parks, innovation centers, and research institutions located in Seoul, Cheongju, Sejong, Gyeongsang, and Pohang.
