"Joint Laboratory of Intelligent Electric Vehicles" will be created jointly with NTU "TIIAME" and Beijing Technological University.

During a working visit to China, the Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan, Otabek Makhkamov, held a meeting with the Vice-Rector of the National Research University "TIIAME" Shukhrat Shokirov with the participation of a team of professors and teachers led by the Vice-President of Beijing Technological University (BIT) Wang Bentsun.

During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation in the field of education, science, and innovation, discussed issues of increasing the effectiveness of joint scientific research, developing the potential of young scientists, and mastering the university's best practices in this area.

Following the negotiations, a memorandum of understanding was signed between TIIAME and Beijing Technological University on the establishment of the "China-Uzbekistan: Joint Laboratory of Smart Electric Vehicles." This joint laboratory provides for the implementation of fundamental and applied research in the field of modern electric vehicles and their charging technologies, the introduction of joint educational programs, as well as advanced training and internships for young scientists and professors.

The parties also reached an agreement on the implementation of joint scientific projects within the framework of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative, exploring the possibility of opening a branch of the Beijing Technological University on the basis of TIIAME, and gradually expanding cooperation.
