Within the framework of the joint project between the Agency for Innovative Development and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT) — “Establishing a Platform for Environmentally Friendly Agricultural Machinery Based on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) for Uzbekistan” — Uzbek specialists are participating in training programs in Korea.
The main objectives of the project are to establish a Research and Development (R&D) Center and to convert Uzbekistan’s agricultural machinery to environmentally friendly compressed natural gas (CNG, methane) fuel. In addition, it is planned to introduce modern, safe, and cost-effective gas-cylinder tractors based on CNG 4 technology.
CNG 4 technology represents the new generation of gas-cylinder equipment, offering a safe and efficient solution for engines. It enables agricultural operations to be carried out more effectively without harming the environment.
By the end of this year, 38 tractors will be delivered, with an additional 12 units expected at the beginning of next year. Furthermore, there are plans to convert all tractors in Uzbekistan to this type of eco-friendly machinery in the future.
As part of the training program, participants became acquainted with the activities of TYM, one of Korea’s leading agricultural machinery manufacturers, and studied the innovative approaches of the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH).
This project is expected to contribute not only to the modernization of agriculture but also to environmental protection and sustainable development. According to experts, the initiative could position Uzbekistan as a regional leader in the field of ecological innovations.
