Minister of Innovative Development Ibrahim Abdurahmanov discussed issues of strategic development of innovative systems in the regions with Dr. Vladimir Quint, professor of a number of universities.

At the beginning of the meeting, I. Abdurakhmanov gave information about the reforms and updates implemented in the Republic of Uzbekistan in recent years, in particular, the establishment of the Ministry of Innovative Development, its main tasks and the work done. In his turn, Professor Quint introduced his scientific and professional activities, the work being carried out in cooperation with Uzbekistan. In particular, he gave information about the researches in the field of water supply and water management in Uzbekistan, the concepts and regulatory documents developed in this field.

It should be mentioned here that Quint Vladimir Lvovich is the founder of the general theory of strategy and the theories of the global emerging market, and he was the scientific leader of the processes of development and implementation of strategies in various fields in Russia and several countries. Professor at Vienna University of Economics, Fordham, New York, American and Lassalle universities. In the 1990s, he was an advisor to the President of the UN General Assembly. Today, he is an honorary professor of several Russian universities, a member of the Bretton Woods Committee, the World Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the Russian Academy of Sciences. He is the author of more than 50 books, which have been translated into more than 21 languages.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged ideas, proposals and opinions on improving the innovation ecosystem in Uzbekistan, developing human capital and creating new jobs based on this. Also, based on his experience, V. Quint gave his advice on the development of technology parks at the international level.

In September-October 2021, V. Quint, in cooperation with the Ministry of Innovative Development, organized an international conference on the topic "Strategic development of innovative systems in the regions" and put forward a proposal to attract international experts to it. The representatives of the Ministry supported this proposal of the guest and expressed their agreement to organize the conference in cooperation and announced that they will invite not only international, but also regional experts and entrepreneurs working in the innovative field to the event.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to discuss the next steps in the implementation of the agreements through correspondence and online meetings. The meetings were held in a friendly spirit.
