Commercialization of technologies and implementation of start-up projects

The event was opened by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ibrahim Abdurahmanov. Mr. Yerali Beksultan, the head of the World Bank working group, Dilshod Azgarov, the head of the MUNIS project, Sergei Makarov, an international expert on the implementation of scientific projects and business startups, gave information about the goals and objectives of the project.


The main goal of the program is to strengthen the practical skills of young scientists, entrepreneurs and young people with their own start-up ideas in the implementation of their projects, and to support them in the commercialization of technologies in order to achieve the goals set in the innovative development strategy in 2022/2026. The project will also help expand the target audience for sub-components of the MUNIS project.


The project will be held in 12 regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan for 8 months starting in May 2023. Within the framework of the project, trainings are organized and free interactive seminars are held in all regions of Uzbekistan with the participation of international expert Sergey Makarov and cover the following topics:

R&D commercialization principles;

Identification of promising innovative products;

Product development (using the Kano model in future product features);

Finding customers and new enterprises (one of the Lean methods is R&D formation of customer needs based on the principle of "house of quality");

IM identification and early assessment;

Interaction of researchers with technological brokers, entrepreneurs, investors; build partnerships avoiding pitfalls;

Business Accelerators and Early Stage VC Investments: What People in R&D Need to Know;

Global Development: What to Expect and What to Avoid;

This project will consist of a tested program aimed at developing the fields of science, education and innovation, revealing the country's demographic potential.
